The 41st Millennium is full of elite teams whose names have passed into legend, and each of their members is a renowned hero in their own way. Kill Team has been designed with the narrative of Warhammer 40,000 firmly in mind, designed to transform the troops you battle with into a distinct and memorable cast of characters.

So 1 day after the release Christer found my stuff and integrated it partially into the site! Mainly the names only, with an option to support male/female names too. See the official announcement for details. YAAAY!

How does it work?

Player Names

It works automagically!

Blood bowl team name generator free

Seraphon Name Generator

When the usual Buy Player screen is opened, you'll get a new fancy random name!

You don't like the name? Keep pressing the random button!

How to set it up on Chrome?

  1. Install the official Tampermonkey Extension from the Google Chrome Web Store. If you have it already, skip this step.
  2. Install the Roante's NameGen Button Addon.
  3. You're done! :-)

How to update?

Nah. Not relevant yet. Bookmarklets removed, they were so oldschool. Too 2000-ish.

History

Irrelevant lol. Check git history.

Names

Many thanks for Creative Role Playing for compiling a list of fantasy-sounding names which I unashamedly stole :-)

Additionally, there were a few online resources I used for the script (hopefully I have not forgot to include every reference):

  • Chronofus' Amazon Names List (Amazons, Greeks, Arthurian/Saxon, Celtic, Roman, Egyptian, Viking and Generic names)
  • List of Chaos Lords (W40k Lexicanum Wiki)
  • Chaos Dwarf Names (Chaos Dwarfs Wiki)
  • Dark Elf Name Generator (Seventh Sanctum)
  • Dwarf Names (Warhammer Fluff) (Bugmans Brewery)
  • List of Warhammer Fantasy characters (Wikipedia)
  • [WFRP] Help me with elf names (RPG.net)
  • WFRP Elf Male Character Generator (Winds of Chaos)
  • Orc and Goblin Name Generator (paper-dragon.com)
  • The World's Healthiest Foods (for the Halflings ☺)
  • Halfling Names (Manicarpe's Guide)
  • List of royal and noble ranks (Wikipedia)
  • Names of Egyptian origin (mybirthcare.com)
  • Incan names (lowchensaustralia.com -- I've just recognized this is a dog name giving site LoL. Well, Saurii and Slanns are also animal-alike creatures ☺)
  • Viking Names found in Landnámabók (by Aryanhwy merch Catmael aka. Sara L. Uckelman)
  • Lore:Orc Names (The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages)
  • Skaven names (The Under Empire, Book of the Rat)
  • List of Vampire Names (Vampire Name Generator)

There are various spreadsheets and online tools available for creating rosters for leagues and tournaments, though they will not always have been updated for BB2020, so they are separated below into BB2016 and BB2020. For leagues, check out the League page. If you want a one-off roster for a tournament, you could also check out these:

BB2020 Resources

BB2016 Resources

  • The Aros Danish BB league has a nice spreadsheet (top link on external page)
  • Sann0638 has put a BBteams spreadsheet together
  • The Halfling scribe was designed for Leagues but also has a tournament version!
  • Sumbloke on Ausbowl has made an html version that you don’t need to be online to use – you will need to register on Ausbowl though.
  • On exebowl.co.uk you can find this spreadsheet, which automatically checks skills. Various people have made them for their own tournaments.
  • A newer one, hosted on TFF, based in Excel, does some nice stuff.
  • Little Army Builder also good.

Some on Google sheets:
