Omnisphere 2 Response Code Not Working

So I made a bit of a mistake this morning and I'm hoping for some helpful options in getting back up and running.
A little background: After finishing up a scoring project I decided to go ahead and update my machine to Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra. What I didn't know was that Omnisphere 1 is not compatible with this update, so it got wiped from my machine. (I should have checked the compatibility...live and learn.) I am happy to upgrade to Omnisphere 2, but their website states that the upgrade will not work correctly unless Omnisphere 1 is installed. Since I can't reinstall the original then it seems that I'm stuck.
My question is: Does anyone know if the upgrade will in fact not work if I don't have the original on my machine? If so, the only solutions I can think of are (1) Downgrade to the old OS, upgrade to Omnisphere 2, reinstall the new OS...or (2) Buy Omnisphere new outright and just abandon the upgrade path.
I have contacted Spectrasonics to get their take on what my options are, but haven't received any response. This all happened this morning, so I expect that they are just busy or haven't gotten to my message yet.

DTC P1629 is an indicator that the challenge response was not received within the required 2 second window. This does not necessarily indicate a fault is present with the TDM or ECM. Factors such as a long engine crank, a delay in the serial data communication, or B-codes. Repro steps: 1) Add a new instance of Omnisphere 2.6 to the Reason rack. 2) Open the Omnisphere VST GUI. 3) Close the Omnisphere GUI by pressing the 'X' in the upper-right-hand-corner of the VST window. 4) Right-click on the Omnisphere wrapper in the Reason rack, and select 'Delete Devices and Tracks'. Omnisphere 2 Response Code Not Working Together

I've owned Witcher 3 for PC for well over a year now. I always play with my Xbox one controller. I last played the game in December '19 and no issues. I've recently played and beaten some other games and today I felt like going back to the witcher 3 and suddenly RT and LT are not working for this game. That means no witcher senses or casting signs.
Witcher 3 contains all DLCs and No Mods.
No my controller isn't broken, I've tested it. I have also tried using my Xbox 360 controller. Installed drivers and everything with no luck of it working at all.
My xbox one controller is not an elite controller either. I've found many threads on this and all being elite controllers. I have the Battlefield 1 official wired controller for Xbox one.
Buttons work fine on other PC games.
Can someone please tell me why this could suddenly be an issue when it wasn't before? Same controller, same game, same PC.
